Technology Transfer - Leading Intellectual Property to Tangible Results
A thorough description of the TT process, from IP protection to monetization, was presented at the Day of the Entrepreneur in Tel Aviv, Israel
Tel Aviv, June 6, 2008.- The Day of the Entrepreneur, a conference organized annually by the Israeli Chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum, in cooperation with the Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration of Tel Aviv University, was attended this year by more than six hundred entrepreneurs and investors looking for new technology-based business opportunities.
The intense program of the one-day event, held on June 3, 2008, included lectures covering the entire technology life-cycle and live witnesses representing the major roles and functions involved in the technology transfer process, from academic researchers to intellectual property professionals, from successful entrepreneurs to angel investors and venture capitalists.
One of the presentations, titled Technology Transfer – Leading Intellectual Property to Tangible Results, illustrated in an effective way how to manage a TT process, from IP protection to monetization, what the drivers of IP sellers and IP buyers are, and how prolific Israel is from a technology point of view, quoting sources like the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and the World Economic Forum.
The lecture was given by Raphael Barki, VP Marketing at Elandel Services, a company member of the Luzzatto Group. Luzzatto & Luzzatto is one of the largest patent law firms in Israel. During his presentation, Barki also referred to Patentgate, the technology transfer service recently launched by Elandel Services. The slides are available for download here.
